Dodged a Bullet

T. J. Lang added to injury list
The Packer injury train keeps chugging along with three new players getting on boards. Right guard T. J. Lang went down on the last drive on the second quarter when he was rolled on a screen pass. Nose tackle B.J. Raji hurt his groin in the second quarter when his foot got caught in the grass and tried to play in the third quarter, but the pain was too much. These two injuries seem to be not serious and the coaching staff has to make the decision whether its worth the risk to play them against the Chargers with the bye week coming up.

Josh Walker held his own without holding
My opinion on Lang is to let him sit out the game because Josh Walker did a good job against a tough line. The Chargers don't have as strong as line as the Rams and I think Walker will do just fine keeping the trend of the No. 1 offensive line having not played together for a full game this season.

Calm down Letroy
In the case of Raji a groin injury is the same as a hamstring. If you don't let it heal it will linger. Raji has been having a Pro Bowl season and the Packers need him healthy. So with Letroy Guion - who played very well last year when Raji was lost for the season - back from his suspension I think the Packers can let him have two weeks off to heal properly.

Yogi Berra - Rest in Peace
The final nail has been driven in the coffin 2012 No. 1 draft pick Nick Perry. The season began with Perry recovering from shoulder surgery. Then the Packers declined to exercise their option after this season. He then missed the opening game against the Bears.

Since the Seahawks game Perry has been a major part of Dom Capers rotating rotation and he has been nothing short of spectacular. In the next three games he had 8 solo tackles, 1 assisted tackle, 3 sacks and 1 forced fumble. He added another two tackles and a half a sack against the Rams before he hurt that shoulder again and that seems to be it.

Perry was earning a re-evaluation by the Ted Thompson, but now he will be let go at the end of the season. I feel bad for him, but for three seasons plus five games he has been able to answer the bell just 37 times out of a possible 53 regular season games with 16 starts.

I think his situation was summed up best when he finally got his first sack way back when it was called back for roughing the passer. He has been snakebit every since.

The Walking and Non-Walking Wounded Report:

The official injury report for the Rams game:

OUT: Seandre (Sean) Richardson (neck)

DOUBTFUL: Jake Ryan (hamstring)

QUESTIONABLE: Davante Adams (ankle), Morgan Burnett (calf), Bryan Bulaga (knee), Demetri Goodson (hamstring)

PROBABLE: Jayrone Elliott (quad), William (Clay) Matthews (quad), Randall Cobb (shoulder), James Jones (hamstring)

The official inactive list for the Rams game:

The injured scratches were Morgan Burnett, Sean Richardson and Jake Ryan. The healthy scratches were LaDarius Gunter, Lane Taylor and the 3rd quarterback Brett Hundley.

If the three new injured do sit out the game against the Chargers then the Packers will be forced to play one man short because Hundley will be active for the first time as the third quarterback.
