If You Have Any Doubts

Rodgers Gets Knocked Down, But Always Gets Up
Replacing a living legend who never missed a game despite a broken thumb, two separated shoulders, a sprained knee and an ankle the size of Chicago is a tall task and if you have any doubts about how tough Aaron Rodgers is then all you have to know he played the last half of the season with a knee that needed surgery.

Rodgers pulled out of the Sunday's Pro Bowl because of an undisclosed injury and I figured it was the shoulder he hurt against the Chargers in week six. However, it was revealed that he actually is recovering from minor knee surgery from a low hit by Ezekiel Ansah on his left knee against the classless Lions in week 10.

This Hit By Ezekiel Ansah Eventually Required Surgery
The next week he appeared on the injury list for the only time this season, but not for the knee, but it was for his shoulder. In fact, he had previous torn his ACL and had reconstructive knee surgery after his first year at Call in 2004 to repair a injury he suffered on the same knee while in high school. The knee was sore for the rest of the season.

This past season Rodgers played all the offensive snaps, but 10 when he was mercifully relieved by Scott Tolzien against the Cardinals in the Disaster in the Desert. He took 1,282 snaps and was edged out for the team lead by Josh Sitton, who took two more.

Rodgers joined the Packers in 2005 and spent his first three years behind Brett Favre. He played in only three games his rookie season. His second season he made his first appearance in week four against the Eagles and then in week 11 against the Patriots replaced Favre, who was knocked out with a elbow injury.

Rodgers Plays on a Broken Foot
Rodgers completed the game and afterwards reveled to the Packers that he had broken his foot and stayed in the game because he wanted to earn the trust of his teammates for being able to play through pain. He was placed on injured reserve for the rest of the season.

The Lions Knock Him Out
2007 he appeared in two games and then Favre was forced to retire. Since taking over for the living legend Rodgers missed one game in 2010 against the Patriots with a concussion suffered early in a game against the Lions.

The Bears Break Rodgers Collarbone
He missed seven games in the 2013 with the broken collarbone against the Bears. He also sat out the final game of the 2011 season when Coach Mike McCarthy blinked after comments by Ndamukong Suh saying he was going after Rodgers. Matt Flynn was thrown to the wolves and threw for a franchise record six TDs and survived the game unhurt.

Ndamukong Suh Stomps On Rodgers Injured Calf
Last year he started both playoff games despite a torn calf muscle suffered against the Lions (is there a pattern forming here?) and the Suh Stomp in regular season finale.

This year playing with a sore shoulder since week six and a sore knee since week 10 he answered the bell each and every game. To put it succinctly Aaron is a tough guy who followed the original tough guy. The Packers are lucky to have him.
