What Have We Learned After the First Two Games

1. Aaron Rodgers is the Packers MVP.
2. Aaron Rodgers is one tough son of a bitch.
3. If Aaron Rodgers goes down for good the Packers don’t have a second string quarterback for the second straight season. TT/BG should have signed a veteran quarterback after what happened last year.
4. If Aaron Rodgers goes down the Packers won’t win another game.
5. Mike McCarthy’s offensve scheme makes it harder to be Aaron Rodgers.

6. Mike McCarthy always plays for field goals and ties.
7. When Mike McCarthy says he wants to establish the running game he only means it for a couple plays.
8. Jimmy Graham could be a great acquisition if Mike McCarthy’s scheme allows it.
9. The Packers will commit a penalty at the absolute wrong time (like they have for the past umpteenth seasons).
10. Clay Matthews only gets close to the quarterback. He’ll be lucky to have one sack this season.
11. The Packers offensive line is average at best.
12. The Packers are better than the Bears. Bearly.
13. The Packers aren’t better than the Vikings.
14. Mike Pettine’s defense is not any better than Dom Capers defense (contrary to what the local kiss ass media has been telling us since training camp started about how the defense has improved), which means if the Packers absolutely need a stop they won’t get it.
15. If the opposing team needs a first down pass for it either in the middle or on the outside (always open like Capers).
16. See above the Packers don’t have a pass rush.
17. The Packers always give up two-point conversions.
18. J.K. Scott is an excellent punter.
19. The Packers special teams will always commit a penalty.
20. Davante Adams is an excellent No. 1 receiver.
21. Geronimo Allison is a good No. 3 wide receiver.
22. Randall Cobb is an excellent slot receiver (until he gets hurt).
23. Whoever is playing well for the Packers will get hurt (i.e. Aaron Rodgers, Kevin King, Aaron Brooks last year and future players this year).
24. The Packers reserves are not replacement quality (i.e. Davon House giving up a 75-yard touchdown after King went down).
25. Mike McCarthy won’t play you if you have a great preseason (i.e. Jayrone Elliott had five sacks in the preseason his rookie year and then hardly ever got on the field for the next three years).
26. Reggie Gilbert was the best defensive player for the Packers in the preseason outplaying Clay Matthews, but (see 25) Clay is still the starter.
27. Speaking of Clay. For the second game he gets called for roughing the passer at the wrong time. While I don’t think the play against the Vikings was roughing Clay should have known after being called for it against the Bears he needed to be extra careful. It cost the Viking game. He’s a veteran and should have known better.
