Who Blinks First?

Clay Matthews and Julius Peppers and the rest of the "Al Jazeera 4" as they are now known have been given an ultimatum by the NFL to either summit to an interview or face an indefinite suspension until they sit down and discuss whether they are guilty of taking performance enhancing drugs or PEDs as they are known.

Side note: For those of you who live in Chicago, Detroit and Minneapolis the name refers back to 1968 and the "Chicago 7", who were peace activists who were put on trial for inciting a riot during the Democratic Convention.

In a Donald J. Trump world and working in Wisconsin for that matter it's bad enough to be lumped in with Islamic terrorists or terrorist-sympathizing scum with the name Al Jazeera attached permanently to your picture. The only thing worse would be if your middle name is Hussein.

Clay Matthews and Julius Peppers Won't Be Allowed In Lambeau Field Until They Talk
As I said a week ago refusing to sit down with the league was the wrong tactic for the Claymaker and Old Man River and I was right. As of right now no word has come down whether they will submit to the jack boot wearing NFL or be selfish and allow both arguably the best two players on a suspect defense to sit out games or the season for a principle by the NFL Players Association.

The NFL issued this statement: "The suspension for each such player will begin on Friday, August 26 and will continue until he has fully participated in an interview with league investigators, after which the Commissioner will determine whether and when the suspension should be lifted."

They Fought The NFL and The NFL Won
The NFLPA's position is that both players, former Packer and now a free agent Mike Neal and another old man Steelers linebacker James Harrison are not obligated to submit to an interview about this subject or anything else for that matter unless the NFL has credible evidence beforehand that a player has committed a crime.

It May Be A While Before Matthews and Peppers Will Be On The Field Unless They Come to Their Senses
As I stated before it seems the Packers have no say in the matter even though the loss of Matthews and Peppers would be devastating. General Manager Ted Thompson, who acts like Mussolini in every other aspect, has stated he doesn't have the right to tell Matthews and Peppers how to act, so in the NFL its seem the inmates are running the asylum.

Hall of Fame Perp
I think they should call the league and say interview me tomorrow. It seems the NFL is not kidding and after the second preseason game against the Raiders Thursday both players will be suspended for the last two games and possibly for the season until they crack.

I think George Foreman says it best, "I will tell you like I'll tell them all" if you are too selfish to think of the team then maybe you need to rethink your position. Like I said last week I'm beginning to believe where there's smoke there may be fire. Pour water on this fire quick before it burns down the season.

P.S. When this story broke on ProFootballTalk and NFL.com not a word on Packers.com. I'm not surprised. First, Packers.com is the absolutely last place for breaking news and second, and this is only my opinion, is that nothing bad is allowed to be printed on the official Packers outlet. The Packers front office wears rosy-glasses all the time and seems to think if they don't talk about it then it isn't happening.
