Aaron Rodgers throws tablet in Disgust - NFL Videos
One thing that came out of the Panther loss was Aaron Rodgers got scared. He had a chance to tie the game and show he is as clutch as Tom Brady and Peyton Manning, but "I got scared by something_" and threw an interception. Evidently the beating Rodgers has been getting is getting to him. It this continues he might be have to be replaced by Scott Tolzien and who really wants that.

Here's why Rodgers was so disgusted |
Another thing is the decisions being made by Mike McCarthy, Tom Clements and offensive coordinator Edgar Bennett (I bet you didn't know that Bennett was the offensive coordinator).
I come from the Vince Lombardi and Vern Pollack era and not the play it safe era of Mike McCarthy and Ted Thompson. Concerning the Panther game I would have gone for two on the Packers' last TD for one reason alone and that is all the momentum was on the Packers' side and that is when you go for the kill. That would have made the last TD that got scared away a chance for the win instead of just an overtime loss.
With the defense the Packers have why would you put any faith in it. Capers continues to disappoint both in pre-game preparation, in-game adjustments and at crunch time.
If you remember the ill-fated Seahawks playoff game the Packers were playing for that last minute field goal instead of going for the game-winning TD. McCarthy rolled the dice in overtime and, of course, Capers crapped out in the crunch.
At this point I think the only way to save the season (yes, being 6-2 isn't all bad, but being 0-2 is) is to take drastic action this week because I think if we aren't careful the Lions could beat the Packers this week. Remember the Packers were undefeated (13-0) after the Super Bowl until they ran into the Kansas City Chiefs (5-8) that had just fired their coach and handed the Packers their first loss.
The Lions are in free-fall and they could come out with a what have we got to lose attitude while the Packers and Rodgers are at the beginning of panic time. If that happens I could see the Packers losing to the Vikings and the Bears before playing the Lions again with the season on the line.
I think the only way to stop this losing streak in its tracks is to fire Dom Capers today. I would have preferred last week, but the sooner the better. Then bench Eddie Lacy for the time being. If it is his ankle let it heal.
James Jones seems to have hit a wall. He can catch anything, but he doesn't seem to be getting open downfield, so let's see what Jeff Janis and Jared Abberderis can do. I would then activate tight end Mitchell Henry and see if he can get open and catch the ball. Maybe fresh young legs will jump start the passing game. I would also put Randall Cobb in the backfield more and throw to him in the flat and on curls and slants.
Now on to the offensive line, which can't seem to open an hole or stop a pass rusher. The reason Rodgers panicked was because he was being sacked up the middle and it was that way the whole game whether it was up the middle or from the outside. So my first move would have been last week when I would have traded for All-Pro left tackle Joe Thomas from the Browns, but that ship has sailed, so on to Plan B.
I would move Josh Sitton back to right guard and T. J. Lang back to left guard. I would then do something I really don't like, but move Bryan Bulaga to left tackle and put Don Barclay at right tackle. There is really no backup center, so Corey Linsley will have to work out of his sophomore slump.
The season is about to fall apart, so desperate measures are needed NOW.
